God decided it was time to send His Son.
An angel told Mary what was to be done.

She accepted the mission with peace in her heart,
Knowing that Joseph from her might depart.

She had been chosen to be the Lord’s mother.
Joseph knew it must belong to another.

He planned to quietly divorce her and send her away,
But an angel of the Lord had something else to say.

He was to raise the Son who would save us from our sin.
With this unexpected child, salvation would begin.
