Did you know that you can give gifts to Jesus?  It might be hard to believe, but it is true.  In fact, Jesus tells us just how to do it.  Jesus teaches that whenever we give food to someone who is hungry, a drink to someone who is thirsty, or clothes to someone who needs them, we are giving to Him.  And whenever we visit or take care of someone who is sick, we are doing it for Jesus.  So, you can see, whenever you give or do something for someone in need, you are giving to Jesus!  (Read about this yourself in Matthew 25:34-40 in the Bible.)

And there’s more good news about giving, too.  When we help someone else, it makes us feel good inside.  This is why the Bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive.  (Read this in Acts 20:35 in the Bible.)  And since giving makes us feel good, it is easy to be cheerful as we give.  This is the best news of all, because in 2 Corinthians 9:7, the Bible tells us that God loves a cheerful giver!
