Be Transformed--by Kimberly B. Southall

You may be familiar with the type of toys which transform or change from one thing to another, such as from a creature to a car or from a car to an airplane. That is one sort of being transformed. To transform means "to change into another form."

Did you know that, when you become a Christian, you begin to be transformed? Yes, that is what happens.

16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. -2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NIV)

In the above scripture, we see that when we turn to the Lord we begin being transformed into his likeness. Since we know that Jesus is perfect, holy, and full of truth and life, that is a wonderful thing! And notice that it says we are being transformed with ever-increasing glory. That means we are transformed more and more with time, if we continue to turn to him more and more. Just think about becoming more like Jesus all of the time. Isn't that great!?

You can be transformed!
